agent-office

A runtime for agent organizations: long-running agents, the services around them, and one durable message log between them.

Python · Claude Agent SDK · TypeSafe SDK · LiteLLM github.com/nhobin219/agent-office open-sourcing 2026.11

A gateway takes requests, a planner turns them into plans, a router sends each step to the right agent, and an office manager keeps the whole organization running as defined in code.

Durable and replayable

Inter-agent messages and agent sessions persist durably to one streamcast log, so the whole system is replayable and queryable.

Not tied to one model vendor

Agents run on Claude through the Claude Agent SDK today, and other model providers can be swapped in.

Credentials scoped per agent

Credentials are federated from OpenBao to the services and tools an agent can call. Each agent gets its own narrowly scoped credentials, such as fine-grained GitHub and S3 tokens, scoped separately from the credentials the rest of the system uses.

Status

agent-office is in daily use for my own research and development. I plan to open-source it in November 2026.
